Business Analyst

As a Business Analyst at Spinnaker Consulting Group, you will apply your strategic, analytical and technical skills to help clients solve complex business problems and achieve their objectives.

Your Role:

  • Collaborate with our clients to identify opportunities ranging from product design and marketing to operational efficiency and effectiveness.
  • Perform statistical and other quantitative and qualitative analyses utilizing tools and applications including SAS, SQL, and Teradata or similar relational database tools to develop strategic business insights.
  • Prepare presentations of complex concepts and research to non-specialist audiences and executives.

Your Experience:

  • You have a love of analysis and are an accomplished user of SAS, SQL, and Teradata.
  • You have five or more years’ experience working in a professional environment with a focus on marketing and/or risk analytics, business intelligence and business operations.
  • You have experience identifying a broad variety of business challenges and opportunities for improvement and are comfortable making strategic or tactical recommendations to solve them.
  • You develop problem frame-works, hypotheses, conduct test and analysis to drive solution development.
  • You define the scope of operational feasibility, support implementation efforts and develop a monitoring plan.
  • You are experienced in leading project delivery and communicating effectively to a wide audience.
  • You have the proven ability to gather, research and structure data needed to solve complex business problems.

Data Analyst

As a Data Analyst at Spinnaker Consulting Group, you will leverage analytic and technical skills to innovate, build, and execute well-managed data solutions and capabilities that are critical to our clients.

Your Role:

  • Develop tools, techniques, metrics and dashboards for insights and data visualization.
  • Analyze current-state reports based on future-state needs and determine gaps, propose solutions, and then implement them; leaning heavily on automation techniques.
  • Help our clients understand principles of data quality management and work with them to identify critical business metrics as well as design a project framework that will solve for problems and evolve seamlessly with their operating model.
  • Interview operations and business leaders to identify critical business metrics which gauge the health of the operation and develop future-state reports.   
  • Build and deploy new reporting techniques and metrics, develop appropriate change management and communications as needed.

Your Experience:

  • You are passionate about data, have a love of analysis and are an accomplished user of SQL, Python and Tableau.  (Experience with Hadoop, UNIX/Shell and Business Objects is desirable). 
  • You have five or more years’ experience working in a professional environment with a focus on data rationalization and visualization, analytics, and business operations and/or marketing.
  • You are experienced in leading project delivery and communicating effectively to a wide audience.
  • You have the proven ability to gather, research and structure data needed to solve complex business problems.

Project Manager

As a Project Manager at Spinnaker Consulting Group, you will leverage your extensive leadership and influencing skills to drive strategy and execute on high priority initiatives for our clients.

Your Role:

  • You will act as a project lead to facilitate the delivery of large, complex projects across multiple client divisions and disciplines, serving as product owner or scrum master when necessary.
  • You will deliver reliable, timely and continuous results using a range of Waterfall and Agile methodologies (Scrum/Kanban/etc.) 
  • You will partner cross-functionally and lead project teams to define and document scope for different phases of the project and implement a standardization process for successive projects.
  • You will design and manage implementation plans in a complex and dynamic environment; revising where necessary to meet the changing needs of the client and their business. 
  • You will ensure transparency and governance by maintaining appropriate documentation including project plans, roadmaps and go-live plans, monitoring project timelines, tracking costs, resource planning, change management and managing program risks; quickly escalating concerns when they arise. 
  • You will be responsible for facilitating all agile team engagements when acting as SCRUM Master including daily huddles, demonstrations, and retrospectives.  You will remove obstacles that impede the team’s progress, protect the team from outside distractions, and lead the team in achieving consensus on important decisions.

Your Experience:

  • You have an aptitude for standardization, a collaborative approach to problem solving and have proven ability to lead and motivate teams to deliver on-time solutions for a variety of clients and businesses. 
  • You have five or more years’ experience working in a professional environment applying Agile, Waterfall and Lean methodologies to drive business operations and continuous improvement for your customers.
  • You are experienced in leading project delivery and communicating effectively to a wide audience.
  • You have the proven ability to gather, research and structure information needed to solve complex business problems and build and manage a team to drive results that exceed expectations.
  • You are self-directed, accountable, creative and comfortable working in a fast-paced, client facing environment with a travel component.
  • You earned a bachelor’s degree in a related discipline; MBA, PMP, Scrum or Agile certifications are highly desirable.

Risk and Compliance Manager

As a Risk or Compliance Consultant with Spinnaker Consulting Group, you will leverage your first-hand experience to partner with executives and line of business leaders to better manage client’s risk in a collaborative and pragmatic fashion.

Your Role:

  • Conduct risk assessments and targeted reviews that help identify and mitigate emerging compliance and operational issues.
  • Work with business and operations leaders to improve first line of defense controls and better understand compliance and operational requirements.
  • Develop CMS programs designed to meet the needs and lifecycle phase for new or rapidly growing businesses.
  • Prepare and report monthly regulatory monitoring results for risk and collaborate with senior leaders to improve and maintain best practices.
  • Perform and report out on various compliance management components including issues, complaints and monitoring.
  • Develop project timelines for remediation and drive continual improvements to address compliance deficiencies or gaps.
  • Advise clients on developing and shifting regulatory agency expectations and industry trends.

Your Experience:

  • You hold certifications in CRCM, CERA, CRM or FRM and are an active member of the Risk Management community.
  • You have extensive experience working with internal and external partners for audit and credit reviews, regulatory exams and compliance assessments.
  • You are competent managing all second line operational risk requirements such as business continuity, SOX, top risk, and risk assessments.
  • You have ten or more years’ experience working in a professional environment with a focus on risk management, compliance and fraud.    
  • You are experienced in leading project delivery and communicating effectively to a wide audience.
  • You have a solid track record for driving process efficiencies, increasing engagement and developing successful programs to manage and mitigate risk.
  • You have the ability to bring together different groups across the business, operations, risk management, and legal to create pragmatic compliance solutions.
  • You have the proven ability to gather, research and structure data needed to solve complex business problems.
  • You are self-directed, accountable, creative and comfortable working in a fast-paced, client facing environment with a travel component.
