Kenny Presley, Jr. is an Advisor supporting client engagements in Spinnaker’s Risk Management & Regulatory Compliance practice. Kenny has 20 years of deep expertise with federal regulations in the banking industry. From the beginning, Kenny had an eagerness to put his imprint on the financial world.
Kenny began his career in banking while in college and worked his way up to credit analyst. Next, Kenny moved to government administration at the Federal Deposit Insurance Corporation in Dallas where he worked in the Division of Resolutions and Receivership during the height of the banking crisis. Additionally, he worked as a Bank Examiner for the southern region of the United States. He was promoted into Management roles with both the FDIC and later the Depository Trust & Clearing Corporation (DTCC) as Associate Director of Credit Policy and Control.
During Kenny’s banking career, he won multiple awards. During his tenure at the FDIC, he won two Mission Achievement Awards for his contributions supporting the recovery of large bank failures during a time of industry unrest. Additionally, he won the Nancy K. Rector Award for outstanding community service. Kenny is the Founder and Executive Director of the Nonprofit B.L.A.C.K. 2 Life that encourages reading in minority areas throughout multiple large cities in the United States. Kenny has used his skills and relationships to be well rounded in the financial industry.
Kenny received his Bachelor of Science in University Studies with a focus on Business and Political Science and Masters of Science in Business Sustainability at the University of Texas at Arlington. He also earned a Certificate of Contract Management Oversight at George Washington University. Kenny enjoys mentoring young men through his nonprofit and teaches financial literacy to the underserved. Most importantly, Kenny is a family first person; he enjoys spending time with his family and traveling the world.
