Meet a valued member of our Spinnaker team of experts: Consultant Jack Gooding. Spinnaker’s Data-Driven Doer, Jack recently came aboard excited to join a team whose genuine desire to solve problems and deliver real results resonated with him and mirrored his own professional goals. Like the Spinnaker team, Jack is laser-focused on rolling up his sleeves and doing what needs to be done to drive results.
An accomplished data analytics leader, what makes Jack tick is the process and the promise of data analytics — not only uncovering new insights or explanations in the data, but also applying what you’ve discovered to real-life implementation and solutions that impact results. His background is both technical and strategic, and includes such accomplishments as managing data workstreams for several massive integrations programs and the data transformation of a Fortune 500 bank. He values a consultant’s ability to exclusively focus on the task at hand, without the distractions of a calendar full of meetings and multiple competing priorities that come with being a full-time associate. He’s described by colleagues as “ultra-reliable,” and by clients as “the go-to analyst when something is critical.”
A native of New Orleans — Go Saints! — Jack enjoys traveling for business and for pleasure. One of his proudest personal and professional moments was time spent living and working in India, where he built a successful offshore team of data analysts and stamped his passport all over Asia. His bucket list still includes seeing four remaining “new” wonders of the world: The Great Wall, Machu Picchu, Chichén Itzá, and Petra. Though he didn’t realize his childhood dream of being a GM for an NBA team, he still loves playing basketball and says if he had an extra hour each day he’d spend it playing pick-up games. It’s no wonder this baller at heart shares the Spinnaker passion for collaboration and building an environment for team success.
